Inspired by our sister business, Fancy’s Market in Osterville, we aim to be the community’s one-stop destination for whatever you need.

Fancy’s Market, a beloved landmark in Osterville, has been serving the community since 1839. Founded by Captain Harvey Scudder and his brother Erastus as the Erastus Scudder Store, it originally functioned as both a community store and the Osterville Post Office. After passing through the hands of numerous merchant mariners and sea captains, the business was sold to the E.E.C. Swift company in 1929. Cape Cod native Gustave Swift, the founder of Swift & Co, went on to lead one of the world’s largest meat-packing companies.

With the turn of the century, Fancy’s evolved into a cozy gourmet market known today as Fancy’s Market. In 1987, the market was added to the National Register of Historic Places for its social significance and classic Greek Revival architecture. Fancy’s Market prides itself on providing an exceptional butcher department, fresh produce, fine cheeses, and a carefully curated selection of wines, beer, and spirits. The award-winning deli serves up an enticing selection of prepared entrees, salads, and classic sandwiches, all with the warmth and tradition that have been hallmarks of Fancy’s for over 150 years.
